CECUA is the Confederation of 17 European Computer User Associations covering 16 countries in the European Union, the European Economic Area and The European Free Trade Association, representing well over half a million users at the association, enterprise and individual level. CECUA's main focus is on issues such as the expectations, opportunities and concerns of the citizens of the global information society. Recently CECUA and partners and supported by the European Union organised a very successful conference on this subject in Brussels. Presently the parties are working on a Bill of Rights for the Citizens of the Global Information Society
